Given the conservative approach of traditional Nordic Banks, LBO cases that do not fit into the “narrow funnel” in terms of credit characteristics and relationship to the Sponsor are rejected. Even though Private debt players have an appetite for higher credit risk compared to senior banks they usually require a significant price premium coupled with an equity upside. Due to Avida’s funding profile, we can be more competitive in terms of flexibility and price (e.g., no prepayment penalties and requirements on the equity upside) compared to Private debt players.
Portfolio companies can also benefit as Avida provides vigorous receivables purchasing solutions which are scalable to finance trade growth and improve financial ratios while co-existing with long term financing from the debt capital market or senior banks.
Furthermore, Avida can offer other types of solutions where working capital assets on the balance sheet (e.g., inventory) can be financed to release funds. We also offer traditional RCFs when asset-based financing is not applicable.

Avida has gathered a team consisting of very competent and experienced members. Together they represent decades of experience in structuring complex financing solution in the Nordic region.
Filip Gustafson, Head of Business Finance. Filip comes most recently from Nordea, where he has worked for the past 10 years with corporate and acquisition financing in various forms. In addition to having worked at both international and Nordic banks, Filip also has extensive experience from the private equity sector.
Ercan Aziman, Credit Investment Director, with 14 years at SEB of which the last 6 years at Leveraged Finance. Ercan has experience from leveraged financing in Nordics, including both senior and junior debt, cross-border transactions, and buy-and-build financings. And he is also experienced from structuring debt transactions for corporate customers, including capex and working capital facilities.
Joakim Torekull Öster, Analyst, with 6 years at Nordea, of which 4 years supporting leverage finance transactions in various roles, Joakim has a vast experience from leverage finance (both larger and small/mid-sized companies), including acquisitions, carve-outs, M&A and buy-and-builds. Furthermore, he has experience from structuring financing solutions for corporate customers, including capex and working capital facilities.
